This week on the 2 o'Clock Break we are exploring the music of PRETTY LIGHTS.
Pretty Lights, is a Colorado based DJ/Producer who has grown in popularity since his 2006 debut release. His blends soul, hip hop and dance music in a unique way. With roots in hip hop production, it's no surpise that he uses a lot of soul samples in his work.
One of my personal favorites comes from the FILLING UP THE CITY SKIES album.
This track "Change Is Gonna Come" takes it's name and main sample from Otis Redding's "A Change Is Gonna Come".
