What makes Milwaukee? Well, it's more than cheese curds and milkshakes. It's also healthy, home-grown vegetables from the Fondy Farmer's Market, located on the 2200 block of Fond du Lac. Many of Milwaukee's Hmong population farm fresh greens, peppers, beans, and other delicious delicacies for the Fondy Farmer's Market, and I got to sit down with a handful of these amazing people at the Fondy HQ. The farmers spoke to me about relocating to Milwaukee from as close as Wausau, and as far as Thailand, as well as their love of farming, and the fact that farming and EATING freshly farmed veggies keeps them young and health..yes, YOUNG, folks. The fountain of youth can be found at 2200 W. Fond du Lac!
