The St. Ann's Intergenerational Center's Buddy Program: Produced by Frank Nyantekyi from Cardinal Stritch University.
What are you doing to help breach the gap between growing adults and the young and upcoming children of today’s society? The St. Ann’s Intergenerational Center is doing its bit by facilitating the “ Buddy Program”; buddy program pairs youth ages 12-15 with clients of St. Ann Center and other surrounding adult centers
Daily intergenerational activities promote mutual understanding and respect between the younger and older members of our community. Most importantly, the activities are a lot of fun!
The children are able to learn how people who are aging or have disabilities are a part of our lives. Creative, intergenerational activities are spontaneous as well as planned by an intergenerational activities coordinator. Intergenerational Activities include music and art therapy.
