Milwaukee is a city of festivals. Given the fact that many of them are ethnic, makes summertime themes on Sound Travels easy. This week, German Fest is taking center stage down on the Henry Meier Festival Grounds so I thought I'd turn the music towards the Teutonic.
Interestingly enough, a listener had similar inspiration and we were able to connect and share some music and I have some of those fruits for you today. So with a special thanks to Michael Koch for connecting me with Düsseldorf DJ, Pondskater aka Axel Ganz and to Axel himself, for sending me some excellent music from Germany. To this, I added Austrian DJ/production duo Kruder & Dorfmeister because their minor successes in the mid-to-late 90's in the electronic music scene may mean familiarity for some. Also, showcasing a bit of diversity, the reggae crossover vibes of Rhythm & Sound (aka Berlin's Basic Sound). I learned a bit more about German music today, I hope you did too.
