Ever more versions for the trip on Sound Travels today. Once again, the theme is all about global covers of far more familiar songs. Stay tuned for even more tomorrow as we'll work this theme through Friday.
Got a few in today including The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain whose version of "Theme From Shaft" is as funny as it is cool. Rodrigo y Gabriela made quite a stir when they took Metallica to a new level on their first album with a cover of "Orion." Never heard anybody cover Oasis, but M.I.S. gives it a go. Sylvie Vartan's cover of the Al Green classic gets my nod as one of the best covers I've ever heard. Hope you liked it, listen again if you like...
