The Rosalettes: Over 65 and still dancing

The Rosalette Dancers found a way to exercise while still having fun: line-dancing.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, The Rosalettes gather at the Clinton Rose Senior Center for a 90-minute workout. Lois Redic is their cooreographer, and teaches the routines with energy and positivity. With 25 members ranging in ages from 65 to 81, they all have different skill levels. The freindships they have formed keep them coming back week after week.

The Rosalettes started as a way for these seniors to stay connected and active in the community. Their lively routines and fun music have gotten them booked to perform in Senior Centers around the city, at library events this summer and at community events such as Garfield Street Days and the Juneteenth Celbration.

The Clinton Rose Senior Center, 3045 N Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in Milwaukee, is funded by the Milwaukee County Department of Aging and managed by their Interfaith Older Adult Program.
