Before there was an Amy Winehouse, Adele and the retro-soul revival, there was the small-statured, but the powerful voice of Brighton's Alice Russell. It is still surprising to me that she still doesn't get the recognition she deserves, but hopefully her forthcoming fifth studio release might change all of that.
In February of 2013, Alice Russell will release her new album entitled The Dust, which will be released on the label she started on Tru-Thoughts. Russell will drop the first single, "Heartbreaker, on November 19, which was produced and co-written by TM Juke. Watch the video for the song featuring Spinal Tap's Harry Shearer below.
