Rhythm Lab Pick | Introducing Milwaukee's Kiings

I get a quite bit of emails from folks submitting tracks for Rhythm Lab Radio, and once in a while, I get something that blows me away.  This time it comes from a group right in our own backyard of Milwaukee.  It is an electronic production duo by the name of Kiings, who sent me this excellent track called "Explain Myself." The song uses a sample of Quadron's cover of Lauryn Hill's "Ex-Factor."  It reminds me of some of the early production work of James Blake.  You can download the song for free via their Bandcamp page.

24 year olds Chris Siegel and Sean Foran make up the duo of Kiings. They classify their sound as "Electro-soul."  They also dropped a video for the song as well, which is very good as well and features shots of Milwaukee.

The duo has been getting love from several music blogs inlcuding love from Quadron, who they sampled for the song "Explain Myself." Kiings will be working on another song/video in the coming months. They will also be releasing a free mixtape/EP.
