Students at MATC raise food for Hunger Task Force
In the spirit of the holidays, MATC music students organized Rock Hunger III, a food drive and concert rolled into one.
Eight bands, mostly made up of students, performed inside the Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery. Attendees were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for a discount on admission.
This year, students raised more than 50 items for the Hunger Task Force.
The concert also tied into the students' coursework. Students from the Music Business class worked to organize the production, while students from the Live Recording II class set up the microphones and speakers at the venue.
Performances included Javier Experiment, RoExodus And The 4 Runna, Born Brothaz, The Best Kept Secrets, Stephandrew's Band, Filtharmonic, Harsh Beats Productions Presents: King Kamonzi, and Up North.
