Family Activities at the YMCA

There are plenty of ways to stay active this winter, and at the YMCA, the door is open to families -- members or not.

And for kids who get a little restless over the colder months, two free programs are helping them blow off a little steam before bed.

Passport to Play sets up some organized activities for young people -- games like Sharks and Minnows or Dodgeball.  Passport to Play happens four days each week at select YMCA branches across the city. The program is open to non-members.

For parents with younger children, Family Gym allows member families to escape the house for an evening of more free-form fun. Staff supervises a bounce house and other kid-friendly equipment and games. Kids and parents can play at their own pace and interact with other families.

For more information about both programs, including hours and locations, visit the Y's official website.
