Grandparents' Tech Day at Hartland South Elementary

Grandparents in Hartland are learning how to use iPads and iPhones thanks to some young teachers.

For the second time this school year, students from Hartland South Elementary hosted Grandparents' Tech Day.  The students took on the role of instructors, showing their grandparents how to use functions like Calendar, Google Earth, Mail and Facetime on those popular Apple gadgets.

All the grandparents who 88nine spoke with said the three-hour workshop made a big difference, and it helped them learn how to use technology to keep in touch with the rest of the family.

In fact, the feedback was so positive that the school is working to plan monthly sessions, one organizer said.
