This week's Seven O'Clock Sample is a mixed bag o' nuts. We are shuffling through our sample archives to look at some of AMKE's favorites. Last week's Daft Punk sample exploration was a big hit, and our exploration of the music of Edwin Birdsong got Dori dancing in the studio!
So today we listened to another Edwin Birdsong track called "Rapper Dapper Snapper".
If this break sound familar to you, well it's been used by several other acts over the years. De La Soul sampled this song on the track "Me Myself and I". It was also used by Mary J Blige, Gangstarr and Wagon Christ. Today we listened to The Chemical Brother's flip of this sample on their song "Morning Lemon."
