Classic Album Dissection: Blue Lines

This week on the Seven O'Clock Sample we are conducting a classic album dissection of Massive Attack's BLUE LINES.  The summer of 1991 was setting a new rhythm for the world to get down with.  The "down-tempo" or Trip-hop movement can be directly traced back the the city of Bristol.  This is where the fellas of Massive Attack, crafted this 1991 masterpiece.

?

"Safe from Harm" was the third single from Blue Lines. The bass, guitar, and drums are sampled from the song "Stratus" by Billy Cobham, from his album Spectrum.

Additional drums are sampled from "Good Old Music" by Funkadelic.
