Sound Travels started the 10am hour with a sexy-cute song from NY-based Banda Magda, an intriguing new project led by accordionist/pianist/vocalist and ingenue Magda Giannikou. The music is centered around Magda's originals, mainly in French. The band keeps things quite international and their repertoire also features Magda's multifluency as she also sings in Italian, Spanish, English, Portuguese and even Greek.
Gotta thank Peter Adams for turning me on to this incredibly charming band that if my hunch serves me right, and Mr. Adams' connections with Easttown Association might suggest a future at Milwaukee's Bastille Days...
