Catch The Stone Roses Documentary This Week In Milwaukee

The unthinkable occured in 2012.  The iconic, Manchester band The Stones Rose got back together to perform several concerts. Considered one of the most influential British bands, The Stone Roses formed back in 1983 and some critics called their 1989 debut album one of the greatest British albums recorded.  Then the Stone Roses released their sophomore and final album Second Coming in 1994. In 1996, the band broke up.  Then out of blue 16 years later, the band announced a reunion tour.

A new documentary called 'Made of Stone' covering the reunion and history of the Manchester band will be screened in the Milwaukee area on November 6 and 12.

Acclaimed film-maker Shane Meadows brings his unique directorial style, humour and emotional depth to the film, capturing the band at work and in their everyday lives as they rehearsed for their much-anticipated reunion, which culminated in three triumphant homecoming gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park in front of 220,000 adoring fans.

Incorporating never-seen-before material spanning the band’s musical history, the personal experiences of many of those touched by the band and their music, and unparalleled access to the record-breaking sell-out concerts which took place in Summer 2012, this is the definitive record of the definitive band of the past 25 years.

The film will be screening at three Marcus theaters on November 6 with an encore screening on November 12:

Mequon: Marcus North Shore Cinema
New Berlin: Marcus Ridge Cinema
Oak Creek: Marcus South Shore Cinema
