Just wanted to catch you all up on a mix I dropped about a week ago featuring some excellent music from Angola. Semba is the name of the style I played, an Angolan form that for some is a close cousin to Brazilian samba. Music from a Southwestern African country that was recently the feature of another fine compilation from the cats at Analog Africa called Angola Soundtrack 2. A sound I inexplicaply feel connected to, that has many dimensions and a distinct sound. This is a vintage mix from that compilation and its similarly named first edition plus a few songs from other sources...
