Metro GO hosts transportation forum

About a hundred influential Milwaukeeans gathered at Manpower's Headquarters to discuss the state of public transportation and land use in Milwaukee, creating a vision for the city in the year 2050.

The event was hosted by local transportation advocacy group Metro GO.

After hearing short keynote addresses from local leaders, attendees broke into smaller groups to brainstorm about public transportation, identifying strengths and weaknesses of the existing system.

Suggestions from the forum will be taken into consideration as the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission ( SEWRPC) develops a master proposal for transportation and land use in the year 2050.  SEWRPC will release findings from its reseach to the public next year.  You can follow the process here.
