Mayer Hawthorne knows how to keep busy. Last July, he released his 3rd studio album Where Does This Door Go. He has been busy touring and DJing all over. Now, he has a new project called Jaded Incorporated. Jaded Incorporated is a new side project featuring childhood friend Kendall Tucker aka 14KT, who is 1/7 of Michigan’s mighty hip-hop group Athletic Mic League. The two grew up together in Michigan and became friends in high school and later in life musical collaborators. Jaded Incorporated was formed out of their love of Post-Punk and New Wave movements of the early 1980s and an obsession with Ghettotech and Booty music.
According to the press release, Mayer and 14KT have created a brand new sound they call BEAT WAVE, which draws influences from artists like Ultravox, J Dilla, and DJ Assault. The two drop the first single from their forthcoming debut album called The Big Knock, which set to drop on June 17, 2014.
