Spend your Cinco de Mayo with Uh Huh Her

Camila Grey (lead vocals, guitar, and keyboard) and Leisha Hailey (backing vocals, bass, keyboard) are bringing the Uh Huh Her to Turner Hall Monday the 5th of May.

The L.A. based duo formed while Leisha, who many know as Alice from The L Word, was filming the shows last season (no this article isn’t all about how we want there to be another season of The L Word.) It’s about two talented musicians who are back at it again with a release of a heavy electronic influence album.

The duo released “Future Souls” this past March.  A well written let’s start a dance party album. With songs entitled, “Innocence” you don’t know if you want to dance because of the beats or because one could connect to the lyrics which to me reminded me about love. Didn’t I mention this dance party album was well (emotionally) written? Either way my guess is both.

All it takes is to listen to “Innocence” and the duo has trapped you into wanting to listen to more. Once you heard their second single of “Future Souls” which is, “It’s chemical” you’re in it for the long run.

Get ready to spend your night dancing. With the hopes the set list contains new songs but also oldies yet goodies such as; “Common Reaction” and “Not a Love Song.”

Camila and Leisha are an underestimated duo has been bringing the indie electronic beats (without a record label may I add) way before it was cool.

Now remember the day of the party.

Cinco Del Mayo (I mean you really can’t forget the date)
