This past Thursday, 88Nine hosted the launch party for the Work 2 Do Campaign. The campaign was organized by Our MECCA, an organization founded to bring awareness to the iconic basketball floor designed by Robert Indiana. The Work 2 Do campaign's ethos is "Living Your Full Potential in the City You Call Home...and doing it Now!"
Following the Mayor's introduction, Our MECCA group founder Ben Koller introduced the campaign's video and song featuring Milwaukee's Pharoah Mac & DMT. The song "Work 2 Do" was co-produced by Jon Frost & Isaac Chevako (DMT) and the video was co-directed by Co-Directed by Philly FlyBoy & Ben Koller and highlights the various spots in Milwaukee. The track uses a sample of The Isley Brothers' 1972 classic song "Work To Do."

The Work2Do initiative was born out of the Mecca floor project, which celebrated a successful collaboration between a major sports franchise and a controversial pop artist, resulting in a culturally significant art piece that helped bring national awareness to Milwaukee.
