Whether you are new to town or just looking to go out somewhere different, there's a new app that could help you find your new favorite watering hole.
SpotHopper is a free app created right here in Milwaukee by Aleks Ivanovic. "We currently have around 200 places in Milwaukee," says Ivanovic. "If you want to figure out where to go out to have an awesome cocktail that tastes like a Manhatten or Tom Collins, we will tell you where to go." Looking for a specific craft beer, a certain brand of wine and an outdoor patio to enjoy them on? The app has a list of restaurants, bars and clubs you can find an atmosphere that serves your favorite beverage.
Ivanovic says the idea for SpotHopper was inspired by the traveling he's done for work. "A lot of times when I was in a new city, I had no idea where to go." He continues, "You can tell the app what you like anywhere in the country and we'll find a place like that in Milwaukee."
In addition to figuring out what places are like before you step foot inside, SpotHopper lists every happy hour and daily special in the city.
