Farm using horses to help Vets readjust to civilian life

Making the transition from military life to civilian life is can be a real challenge, especially those battling PTSD and depression.

But just outside of Milwaukee, Veterans are getting help with that adjustment in a somewhat unlikely place -- a horse farm.

Stepping Stone Farms invites veterans to spend time with horses at its sprawling Franksville property.  For them, it's a chance to step outside their normal surroundings, to build relationships with the horses and to get one-on-one counseling from trained professionals.

The nonprofit organization is staffed entirely by volunteers.
