The lights go up, and with nothing more than a single microphone, an everyday Milwaukeean is transformed into a raconteur, sharing his or her true and personal story before a live audience.
That's Ex Fabula.
Every Fall in Milwaukee, Ex Fabula hosts monthly "story slams." It travels to different venues around Milwaukee's neighborhoods, building community through storytelling.
And this Thursday, the nonprofit organization kicks off its sixth season with a fundraising event at the Wherehouse Night Club in Walker's Point.
