Hands down, my favorite part about the Milwaukee Film Festival is the Cream City Cinema series.
It showcases the work of Milwaukee-based filmmakers, giving them a chance to screen their films at venues not typically available to them, like the Oriental Theater, Times Cinema and the Fox-Bay Cinema.
The Cream City Cinema series screens five feature-length films, 14 short films, and another seven shorts directed entirely by local youth.
This week, we welcome two youth filmmakers to the 88nine studios, Serbata Tarrer and Megan Dogra. You can see their work at the Cream City Youth Show -- along with several other young directors -- this Sunday, September 28. The show begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Oriental Theater.
