10/27/14 -- This week's download comes the German electro duo Digitalism. The duo has been pioneneering the indie and electro dance music scenes since their debut album, Idealism in 2007. Digitalism has remixed tracks for Tom Vek, The Futureheads, Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, White Stripes, Monk, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy and many others.
The duo just dropped a new single called "Second Chance" in support of their 2014 live show, which is also our download of the week.
In fact ’Second Chance’ comes off sounding like the perfect mix of Digitalism’s classic sound and the direction introduced at the start of 2014. It seems fitting that Digitalism release such a track at the end of a year that divided opinion on their new direction, whilst being one of their most successful periods at radio. The lyrical content of ’Second Chance’ are that of a bitter-sweet lament detailing lost love and second chances taking the listener on as many ‘lows’ as it will take ‘highs.’
