Wisconsin native Justin Vernon, of Bon Iver, will be starting a new outdoor music festival in Eau Claire next year. The event will be called The Eaux Claire Music and Arts Festival. It is still going through the final round of permit approvals, but it is slated to take place July 17 th and 18 th of 2015.
Organizers anticipate 25,000 attendees and the possibility of bringing in eight or nine million dollars to Eau Claire. Vernon has always been a proud Wisconsinite, and supporter of his home town of Eau Claire. The event has the potential of making a great economic and cultural impact in Wisconsin for years to come.
