If you're looking for something fun and educational to do with your kids this summer, consider a visit to the Milwaukee Public Library.
Every day throughout the summer, at each of MPL's branches, a variety of programs engage kids in summer learning. It's all to prevent "summer slide," where students can lose up to three months of academic progress, according to MPL's Coordinator of Children’s Services Kelly Hughbanks.
And it's more than just reading.
The entertainment schedule includes science demonstrations, magic, live animals, and a variety of musical performances. Follow this link to find the complete schedule.
All programs are free and open to the public, no library card required.
