The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music is well known for music education, specifically the variety of music lessons it offers to people of all ages.
But a lesser-known, new Conservatory program is reaching kids at community organizations and nonprofits this summer, hopefully to ingite a musical spark within students at an early age.
To see the program in action, I visited the Milwaukee Rescue Mission and sat in on a class teaching bucket drumming to a group of 6 - 8 year olds.
Click the podcast player above the photos to go inside the class and hear from instructor Meaghan Heinrich, as well as a spokesperson for the Rescue Mission.
