What’s with music festivals and bad weather this summer? Pitchfork closed a bit for rain, Eaux Claires went nuts during the tornado and now Lollapalooza went on a bit of a hiatus due to some storms. …C’mon weather, can’t you see we’re trying to have a good time?
A little rain couldn’t stop us from enjoying Lolla Day 3, though. Even through the schedule shifts we still managed to catch some great shows, talk to some great people and reflect back on our awesome weekend in Chicago.
Check out our (last!) Day 3 Lollapalooza picture recap:
One of our biggest weekend highlights was meeting up with some of our Radio Milwaukee Lollapalooza ticket winners! Meet David Anderson and his daughter Alexis from Menomonee Falls. They shared with us some of their Lolla stories, shows they went to and thanked us for a great weekend. Thanks for tuning in, guys!
Also ran into a few people that were excited to rep their Wisconsin pride down in Chicago… check out that gnarly cow costume:
Once the rain came in we all got kicked out and took shelter. Watching the storms roll in over Downtown Chicago was still pretty neat, though.
But fear not! We still managed to check out some great shows by Of Monsters and Men, Twenty One Pilots, Florence and the Machine and Lord Huron.
And what’s a great festival without a great after party? After the fest we rallied down to the Virgin Hotel’s Lollapalooza After Party and checked out Circa Waves, danced around and reflected back on an awesome weekend.
Thanks for a great weekend, Lolla. See you next year!
