Thursday's Director's Pick: A film made right here in Milwaukee

For Director's Pick, Milwaukee Film Artistic and Executive Director Jonathan Jackson tells us what film he is seeing each day at the Milwuakee Film Festival.

Jordan Lee: Its Thursday night what’s your pick tonight Johnathan?

Johnathan Jackson: We’re very excited tonight for the premiere of Uncle John. Always at the festival with one of the most popular programs or films in the festival are locally made films and Uncle John is a first rate Wisconsin made thriller. It premiered at the south by south west film festival this year it’s a great acclaim, it’s going to have a national release and we’re going to feature it tonight at the festival with majority of the cast and crew here in person. It stars John Ashton and it’s a thriller of a Wisconsin man, an older man who happens to murder somebody and spends the entire movie trying to conceal that fact, but it’s a great Wisconsin made thriller shot largely in Lodi in prairie du sac Wisconsin.

Uncle John (Tonight, 7:00PM at the Oriental Theater)
