My first concert was seeing No Doubt in Chicago when I was 14 years old. My older sister took me – we wore matching No Doubt shirts and she did my hair and makeup. After the concert we met and hungout with the Black Eyed Peas in a bar. I felt like the coolest 14 year old in the world that night. (yes, I had to sneak into the bar – sorry mom)
Favorite place to take a visitor in Milwaukee?
Anybody that visits me knows they’ll need a lot of energy because there are way too many great places in Milwaukee. Atwater beach for the view, Bradford beach for volleyball and a slushy drink, Lakeshore State Park, Villa Terrace, and an impromptu restaurant/bar crawl in the Walker’s Point neighborhood for a handful of places with live music, craft cocktails, local beers, and delicious food.
What do you like most about Milwaukee?
I love that our city has access to beautiful Lake Michigan. I love when there’s a sunny, semi-warm day in winter and people sit on patios with a drink in hand and I especially love when the city comes alive in summer. I also love the kind, midwestern spirit that people have.
Best part of working at Radio Milwaukee?
Being connected to the community, knowing all the new, unique music, and helping local businesses share their messages through our networks.
