Milwaukee Concert Pick: Grace Weber at Pabst Theater

Milwaukee’s concert scene has a lot going on, so we look at the shows coming up to find the ones you’ll look back on and be glad you went. Then we add them to our weekly Milwaukee Concert Picks.

Grace Weber really needs no introduction to 88Nine listeners (or the Milwaukee music scene, for that matter). When Weber literally graced our stage for a Studio Milwaukee Session during Radio Milwaukee’s recent fall membership drive, the R&B singer and producer and Wauwatosa native pointed out, “This station has been a home for me for a long time. They’re one of the first stations that believed in me and really showed me that I can do this as an artist.”

The now-Los Angeles resident’s latest and second album, Paperflower, is a soulful, heartfelt affair, with HYFIN’s Element Everest-Blanks sharing that “Weber’s natural ability to convey emotion through her vocals is nothing short of awe-inspiring, and Paperflower showcases her vocal ability like never before.”

Weber not only is a stellar musician, but also generously lends her time and name to Radio Milwaukee’s Grace Weber’s Music Lab, giving back to the community who supported her. The homecoming show for Paperflower continues that theme by involving fellow local scene stars B~Free, Klassik and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Get to The Pabst Theater this Thursday to bask in a showcase for how strong the Milwaukee network of artists truly is.
