414 Live with The Erotic Adventures of the Static Chicken
If you went to The Jazz Estate on a Tuesday evening between the years 2000 and 2013, you’ve likely seen The Erotic Adventures of the Static Chicken perform their untraditional set of improv jazz. Throughout the course of those 13 and a half years, the band played almost every Tuesday evening – over 700 shows.
Fittingly, on New Year’s Eve 2013, the group played their last show at the Jazz Estate and NYE just happened to fall on a Tuesday. Shortly after, the Jazz Estate closed and, in November 2015, was sold to the owner of Bryant’s, John Dye.
Last fall, Dye reopened the Jazz Estate and it’s only right that Static Chicken gigs have started popping. We were excited to host one of those gigs this past Thursday on 414 Live!
