414 Music Live with Faux Fiction
Born in a cool basement during the hot summer months of 2014, Faux Fiction is an alternative/powerpop band based in Milwaukee. The band consists of guitarist/vocalist Gabby Kartz, guitarist Jason Kartz, bassist/vocalist Peter Hair, and drummer Paul Tyree. The four-piece outfit is heavily influenced by 90s alternative, shoegaze, and garage rock, which they blend with pop sensibilities to form their own brand of "pop fuzz".
Since the release of their self-recorded, self-titled EP in the summer of 2015, the group has been added to the bills of several large Milwaukee-area festivals. And with the upcoming release of their first full-length album Staring at the Sun, Faux Fiction will be sticking around the Milwaukee scene for years to come.
