The diversity of sounds on “Hemiptera” is what earned Amanda Huff three Radio Milwaukee Music Awards. She deserved each one for best album, artwork and music video. Her creativity is unmatched in her genre and her voice in each song of this session proves it. Every one sounds like it could be by a different person, but they’re all Amanda Huff.
This makes her a hot commodity for collaborations. Earlier last year, she proved it with “Only in Dreams” where the cello by MSO artist Peter J Thomas is a match made in heaven (or some other spectral place) for Amanda and her otherworldly voice.
This month, she was back with an interesting collab for the Milwaukee Record’s Local Coverage show, where she put a spin on covers of LUXI’s music.
On 414 Live, she gave us a preview and covered “Space & Time” by LUXI.
