It's been at least 48 hours since a major rock & roll death, I feel like we need a count-up scoreboard like you see in factories: "It's been __ days since we lost a major rock figure." My wife alerted me to a Stereogum's posting of Greg Dulli's (Afghan Whigs, Twilight Singers) cover of David Bowie's "Modern Love," which I liked because you'd expect Dulli to go deeper into Bowie's canon. Then again, given Dulli's fascination with Motown and old soul, it doesn't surprise that he'd take on a pop-soul number.
And Dulli's take.
