Two versions of a song,<br>neither version performed by the writer

So, Mike D'Abo, singer and songwriter from Manfred Mann (in the white shirt, center) celebrates a birthday. He's written a lot of great songs but one of my favorites is one perhaps better known by a (more) famous performer and then recently covered. You may know D'Abo's "Handbags and Gladrags" from Rod Stewart's version, which also served as the theme song to the original British version of 'The Office' television series.

And, as if voices couldn't get any raspier, Kelly Jones of Stereophonics may just out-rasp Rod.
