After we confirmed Prince's death, we memorialized his death for a good week or so. His music is a constant presence in my life as it was before his death. But after publicly mourning him on the radio, it felt like a break was the right thing to do. Marcus played me a great cover of "Pop Life" a few weeks ago and while I loved it, I wasn't sure how I was going to use it, then I realized this week that his birthday was today and it was the perfect opportunity to use Neon Indian's stellar cover of it.
