Did you know ‘Hard Sun’ (Eddie Vedder) from ‘Into The Wild’ is a cover?

When Sean Penn was putting the pieces in place for the score and soundtrck of the film "Into The Wild," he reached out to Eddie Vedder about doing a song. That song was "Hard Sun," written by Canadian Gordon Peterson, recorded under the name "Indio" and was a hit in 1989. Penn was so impressed with Vedder's work, that he ended up participating on six other songs for the film.
