Last year, Rolling Stone magazine named the book "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" as it's the #1 book of 2015. More on that is below.
It has Wisconsin ties, with both authors hailing from Madison, where they teach a course on the Vietnam War. They're also in town tonight (2/29) with a reading at Boswell Books at 7PM. The book chronicles the music that became an integral part of the zetigeist during the war. Among the songs is "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield.
