Sample: Impossible

This week on Seven o'Clock sample, we are looking back at one of the most influential trip hop albums recorded; Dummy.
Dummy ushered in a new sound for the UK, and the world for that matter. This album brought the "Bristol Sound" to the rest of the world. Portishead had a refreshing a unique approach to using samples. Many tracks on their debut album are a combo of live instrumentation and cool samples.
Here is the debut single SOUR TIMES.
Cool and creepy song that borrows most of the sounds from the Mission: Impossible TV show. Jazz composer and conductor Lalo Schifrin composed much of the music for the TV and this track called "Danube Incident"
