Diallo lays back with a little bounce on new single ‘Floating’

Every week, Milwaukee Music Premiere connects the city’s artists with our listening audience. If you’re an artist with a track you’d like us to debut exclusively on Radio Milwaukee, head over to our Music Submission page to learn how.

Smooth Milwaukee rapper Diallo is easing onto the scene as a solo artist with new single “Floating” from his forthcoming debut album, Personas.

As a member of Milwaukee’s Higher Education Records and one-half of the rap group Rising Sons, Diallo honed his own flow and style by naturally utilizing those years of group work. His solo work sees him pouring those abilities into a “slice of life” style that, as he puts it, “filters the stress and monotony of everyday life through a daydreamer’s worldview but isn’t afraid to get introspective when the situation calls.”

“Floating” is definitely dreamy, featuring bouncy but laidback verses and chill, reverb-enhanced sounds. Tranquil keys introduce a steady, rolling beat that leads the listener through the optimistic environs of a cloud of daydreams, where positivity is the final destination.

Enjoy “Floating” on your listening device of choice — 88.9 on the radio and our mobile app, or on demand right at the top of this page.
