I am so happy to be sharing the songs I chose for International Women’s Day with you. When offered the opportunity to create a mini playlist for songs to be aired on March 8, I knew exactly what I wanted to do – songs about body positivity and self-love. 

I have been working with Radio Milwaukee as the Development Events Coordinator for eight months. It is a positive and accepting work environment, which I feel very thankful for. However, I know a lot of people don’t have the opportunity to be in such a community via work, friends, family or even at home. For this group of individuals, or anyone that needs to hear it, I made this playlist. You are enough, you are exactly who and where you are supposed to be, perfect the way you are.

Hopefully during this time of social distancing we can all practice a little self-love and appreciation. You may (will) have a little (a lot) more time for social media. Don’t let someone else’s “picture perfect” posts get you down. Listen to the songs below and feel lifted up and empowered! Plus, enjoy the sweet sounds of Dori Zori’s voice as we share our thoughts before and after each song.
