Artists' notes
"Aravaipa" is a song I wrote deep in the Arizona desert wilderness after the cancellation of the rest of my North American tour opening for melodic house group Autograf. After most nights in a different city and crowds of hundreds of people, I got to take the time to walk through nature and have bonfires on the mountain at night. I loved the glow of the sunsets over the desert and the stars at night. Amanda Huff was the perfect addition. After my ranting about the majestic scenery, it took us one night in the studio and her soaring voice to really bring it to life for the listener.
