Sat. Nite Duets return with another absurdist indie-rock banger

Remember Sat. Nite Duets' " All Nite Long?" It's a stone-cold Milwaukee classic, a generational anthem that announced the goofball lo-fi group as one of the city's preeminent indie-rock bands. Well, that was 10 years ago, and now the band is back with a sequel track, "All Nite Long 2," which posits that the party never has to end -- it just grows a little more depressing.

As droll and peppy as the original, it's a half-heartfelt tune about artistic disillusionment that shouts out to AC/DC and the Locust Street Bridge while commenting on these very odd times. After all these years, nobody turns a bummer into a party quite like these guys.

Stream and read about "All Nite Long 2" below.

Artists' statement

We recorded the song at my studio (Silver City Studios). I wrote it when it seemed plausible that I'd make a thousand dollars investing in cryptocurrency and also that North Korea might blow up Guam to troll Donald Trump. I never made any money.

It is a spiritual sequel to our 2010 song "All Nite Long."
