414 Music welcomed Peter Mulvey, an American folk singer/songwriter.
On the first day that it actually feels like spring Mulvey’s intense percussive guitar style was exactly what you needed on your car ride home.
Mulvey did not only enlighten us with his charisma and talented guitar skills but truly blew our minds with the fact that his album release party TONIGHT (5/8/14) at Turner Hall Ballroom is for his 20th album. Which is “Silver Ladders” an album that was successful made through the help of a Kickstarter campaign.
Mulvey also let us know how it was working with the producer of the album, Chuck Prophet. Nothing sounds more pleasant than hearing how working with Prophet is like working with an alligator on riddelin. But you know what; sometimes that’s what produces the best quality of work. Proven by the fact of the quality of “Silver Ladder.”
If this man couldn’t get any more intense the fact he hopes to one day just travel by bike for a tour (only for a year at least). We just can’t believe it. But he has done it before traveling from Kalamazoo, Lansing and Ann Arbor before taking three days to cover 300 miles for a concert in Buffalo, N.Y.
You know you can't support enough Milwaukee native's so head over to Turner Hall to catch him perform with special guest, indie pop duo, Vic and Gab.
