The Living Statues, a Milwaukee band beginning to get recognition nationwide, has released a new single, "Valicity."
The band, formed in 2012, has been featured by Entertainment Weekly, Filter Magazine, and RedBull.com, which premiered one of its previous singles, "Blackout."
This fall, they performed on several college campuses, including UW-Madison, as part of Mountain Dew's rollout of its new "Black Label" soda.
The Living Statues played at Summerfest, at School Night in Los Angeles, and on stages with Banks, Best Coast, Hanni El Khatib, Mayer Hawthorne, The Vaccines, Tokyo Police Club and Walk The Moon. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel named them one of "6 Wisconsin Bands to Watch for in 2015."
The band performed at the Radio Milwaukee Music Awards last December. We have been playing their songs "Blackout" and "All My Girls."
"Valicity" was recorded and produced by Daniel Holter at The License Lab in Milwaukee and mastered in New York.
The band will play at the Milwaukee Art Museum's MAM After Dark: The Edge on Nov. 20.
