Last night, I went to the Banks' show at The Pabst Theater. Before Banks took the stage, Milwaukee's own Klassik performed a set. One of the highlights of his set was his reinterpretation of the Christian hymn "Amazing Grace" originally written by English poet John Newton. Klassik turns the song standard into a hauntingly beautiful version that gave me goosebumps.
Lucky for you, Milwaukee Record just released a video of Klassik performing the cover for their Public Domain series. The video was recorded at Colectivo and it features lush sonic textures with Klassik looping his own vocals.
