When the Milwaukee Theater District announced the “It’s Alive on the RiverWalk” music series, it came with a handful of confirmed artists filling out the few remaining days of July. An amuse bouche, if you will. On Tuesday, the district delivered the main course, digestif, dessert and after-dinner mint: a whopping 33 performance slots covering the remainder of the summer season.
The Pabst Theater Group, which is responsible for booking the series, said it received a “huge response” from the Milwaukee music community following the initial announcement. That’s reflected in not only the sheer volume of acts revealed Tuesday, but also the variety of sounds represented.
