Jazz in NOT dead in Milwaukee!
If jazz is your thing, mark your calendar for Sunday, August 7 when Jazz Visions on the Lake, a FREE one-day, community event returns to Henry Maier Festival Park. Jazz Visions on the Lake will highlight local jazz musicians and will support the Milwaukee Jazz community. Jazz Visions on the Lake is a partnership between Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. and Milwaukee Jazz Vision. The event will give music fans the opportunity to kick back, relax and enjoy the sounds of live jazz along the shores of Lake Michigan on a Sunday afternoon.
The event runs from 2:00 – 6:00 pm and will feature performances from CNJ Latin Jazz (facebook.com/CNJLatinJazz) (2:00 pm) and Milwaukee Jazz Orchestra (MJO) (4:00 pm). MJO will feature performances of new material from their upcoming CD. Attendees may enter through the Mid Gate for FREE and all performances will take place at the Johnson Controls World Sound Stage.
Limited, FREE parking will be available in Lot G, located on Chicago Street and Harbor Drive). Bicycle parking is available near the stage. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase from select vendors.
